BJ Hillaman is a professional banker and was appointed Managing Director of ANCF at the beginning of 2003. His banking career started at the Agricultural Development Bank of Afghanistan in 1976, where he achieved the positions of General Manager of Accounts Department & Vice President of Administration & Finance.  At the same time he was also a teacher of banking courses at ADBA and Da-Afghanistan Bank.  Since 1991 he has held various senior positions at Banke Millie Afghan Kabul, and with their subsidiary Afghan National Bank in Pakistan.  He is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics of Kabul University.  Mr Hillaman is well travelled, and has attended many banking and management courses outside of Afghanistan.
